The Pangandaman vs. Dela Paz controversy is still alive. Accusations are thrown back and forth. Cases were filed. But where will it go? Personally, just like in any other “big story” it will fade away. I mean, I don’t like that to happen but it is how the world of politics in the Philippines goes.

Media is a huge help for people who needs their stories to be heard, to tell everyone how politicians use their powers unjustly. But after sometime, there will be a new “big story” and your story will not be in the headlines anymore- it can fade slowly or in a snap. In Jun Lozada’s case, he isn’t in the newspapers or the primetime news anymore. Filipinos move on so fast.

Sometimes, the government intentionally makes a news-worthy event to cover up unfavorable stories about them. The Pangandamans are quite influential. Hopefully, people in the courts will have no bias. People may move on but the courts will handle this, for years I presume.

Around 20 years ago, I went to this small school in Quezon City. These guys became my classmates in grade school, became good friends. Well, not much of a choice but to love them when you are classmates from grade school to high school- as in every school year! Hehe.. They are Jepoy, Mark and Glen. Rocky came in our lives a little bit later- in high school. Lalaine was introduced to me by Jepoy- being his betteer half.
